Grading & Report Cards
At HISD, the academic year is structured into six‑week grading cycles, with report cards distributed six times annually following the close of each cycle. For 2025–2026, the cycles run from August 12 to June 4, with report cards issued between late September and mid‑June. Academic performance is measured using a 90–100 (A) through below‑70 (F) scale, while conduct is evaluated using letter grades from Excellent (E) down to Unsatisfactory (U). This policy ensures consistent progress tracking and timely communication of student performance.
